What does “4:15” in 4:15 Communications mean?
I am so glad you asked. The “4:15” in our name stands for Ephesians 4:15 which reads, “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.”
This is the Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Ephesus (located in modern-day Turkey). As a follower of Christ, I am always to speak the truth (and seek the Truth). I think a lot of people are great at telling the truth, but not so great at the second part of this (myself included). We are to speak the truth, but do so in love.
How does this apply to my work?
I want to tell the truth. I want to be loving. If you spent enough time on Twitter you know that there is not a lot of truth or love going around.
This is the standard hold myself to, and it is what I bring to the work I do for clients.
I won’t lie, and I won’t engage in personal attacks.
Do I sometimes fail at this? Of course, but it is what I strive toward.
As I do this as a follower of Christ, I grow up in my relationship with Christ because I’m seeking to be more like Jesus.
